With the vigorous spring breeze unfurling its majestic spirit, all hearts are united and efforts pooled as we stride toward the future. On April 25, 2026, the Third Employees’ Sports Meet of Fenxi Heavy Industry was grandly held at Wanbailin Stadium. Under the theme “Uniting Strengths for the 14th Five-Year Plan and Embarking on a New Journey,” 732 cadres, employees, and model workers gathered on the field to compete side by side, showcasing the spirited demeanor of workers in the new era through their relentless pursuit of excellence and forging a powerful synergy for high-quality development through unity and collaboration.
To the rousing strains of the “Athletes’ March,” the national flag formation, representatives of model workers, delegations from various units, and the referees’ formation made their grand entrance one after another. Each formation was impeccably aligned, with resounding slogans that vividly conveyed the spirit of unity, ambition, and relentless striving among all participating organizations.
Zhang Weihua, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the company, attended the opening ceremony and delivered the opening address. He emphasized that this sports meet is an important vehicle for fostering the company’s corporate culture and a vital platform for energizing all employees and consolidating collective momentum for development. At present, the company is launching a vigorous campaign to “make strong strides in the second quarter and ensure that more than half of both key targets are achieved.” He expressed the hope that all athletes will use the competition to strengthen unity, enhance their work style, and ignite their fighting spirit, translating the tenacious spirit demonstrated on the field into concrete actions that deliver results in their respective roles, striving with full effort to meet the first-half-year targets and making new contributions to the company’s high-quality development.
Leaders from the Representative Office, Company Full-time Director Zhang Zhigang, Deputy General Manager Zhang Yongmao, and Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer Li Hongwei attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Qin Jianbin, Deputy General Manager and Chairman of the Trade Union. Athlete representative Gao Peng and referee representative Li Yajun each took to the stage to solemnly swear an oath. Upon the host’s announcement that the Games were officially open, thunderous applause erupted throughout the venue, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere. Under the guidance of the coaches, all participants then performed warm-up exercises, fully preparing for the intense competitions ahead.
In the 4×100-meter relay, the baton exchanges were smooth and perfectly synchronized; in the 800-meter race, athletes chased one another, with the final sprint deciding the outcome; in the standing long jump, each leap was powered by a strong push-off and a graceful extension in mid-air; and in the shot put, every throw was executed in one fluid motion, blending power with technique.
The fun-filled activities seamlessly blended sport with teamwork, filling the venue with laughter and cheer. In the Fun Relay Race, participants divided tasks and worked in perfect harmony; in the football target-shooting event, players aimed with pinpoint accuracy, competing in both footwork and precision; in the triathlon relay obstacle course, competitors sprinted with determination, showcasing their team’s execution and coordination; in the Tortoise and Hare race, every participant held tightly onto the equipment handles and moved forward in unison, making for a fiercely competitive showdown; during the tug-of-war, team members united in mind and effort, fully demonstrating the power of collective cohesion; and in the 10,000-meter challenge, athletes persevered steadfastly, advancing steadily—measuring their endurance with each step and pushing beyond their limits through sheer grit.
This sports event has enriched the cultural lives of employees, strengthened team spirit, and inspired a competitive drive, seamlessly integrating the Olympic ideals of “Citius, Altius, Fortius” with the model worker ethos, the spirit of labor, and the craftsman spirit.
